In the first sentence of the article, it says about a better source needed

edit

So at the start of the first section at the very top, it says about needing a better source. Well, I’ve been searching, and I have found a conclusion to the link: https://www.gob.mx/inafed/articulos/dia-de-muertos-tradicion-mexicana-que-trasciende-en-el-tiempo A safe and reliable source that, grammatically, “Día de Muertos” is the real subjects’ name. 2407:7000:8E29:5600:0:0:0:1002 (talk) 09:16, 13 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Requesting to remove line "In 2008, the tradition was inscribed in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO." From initial summary, as it is repeated verbatim under "Origins, history, and similarities to other festivities" only a few sentences later. Viovanhelisng (talk) 22:26, 19 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

In Section "Observance in Mexico", subsection "Calaveras literarias": -- The holiday often takes place in the cemetery is most of the time by being closer to their deceased loved one and a big part of the celebration also involves where family leave food beverages and personal belongings to be left on graves after cleaning and decorating them. Sugar skulls (calaveras) and traditional dishes like pan de muerto are common symbolic elements that participants share.[53]

The purpose of the rituals is to preserve cultural traditions by having a link between the living and the dead through repeated communal participation. . -- This is a restatement of earlier points made in the article in more appropriate places. I would just delete this, rather than change it to something else. Nevin Runnalls (talk) 20:13, 16 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
