Reaction of Copper powder with Hydrobromic acid
editCopper powder cannot react with a nonoxidizing acid, such as HBr, HCl, HI, or any other hydro acid. The H+ ion is not strong enough to oxidize the Cu to Cu+. --Chemicalinterest (talk) 21:40, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
Dipole Moment for CuBr
editThere is no source listed for the Dipole moment for CuBr being 1.46 D, I am confused where they got this number since there appears to be no experimental values for measuring the dipole moment of CuBr and the only reference material I can find is someone running computational chemistry methods (like CCSD(T)) and they got a dipole moment of 5.57 D, source: # Relationship between Dipole Moments and Harmonic Vibrational Frequencies in Diatomic Molecules Shilin Hou and Peter F. Bernath 2015 119 (8), 1435-1438 DOI: 10.1021/acs.jpca.5b00993
Can I get a clarification where this number comes from 129.49.100.11 (talk) 15:40, 18 June 2025 (UTC)
