This page should not be speedy deleted because...
editThis page should not be speedily deleted because... (I believe that Cool Math Games is a notable page to write because of its history, and the mark it has left on the world. The website has been running since 1997 and is one of the first platforms for online browser games. Cool Math Games is an extremely popular games website. Additionally, the speedy deletion motion is filled under Db-web. This is because it is a website, but that is not the reason why it is notable. The reason it is notable is because of its notability as one of the first and still one of the last web browser game platforms. I hereby appeal the speedy deletion of Cool Math Games on grounds of being the first of a kind. According to Criterion A7 this claim of significance exempts Cool Math Games from speedy deletion status.) --TomD55555 (talk) 04:12, 13 September 2019 (UTC)
- Why not list Coolmath as a whole, not just the arcade? I learned to multiply polynomials on that website. Surely there's secondary sources that talk about that. 216.6.146.26 (talk) 22:36, 2 October 2023 (UTC)
Notable Games
editShould we include a section in the article for notable games? I feel like very popular games and memorable ones that are iconic should at least be mentioned. As many as I can think of, though some may not be notable enough:
- Bloxorz
- B-Cubed
- the Run series
- the Papa's Burgeria series
- the Papa Louie series
- the Duck Life series
- the Fireboy and Watergirl series
- Poptropica
- IQ Ball and Catch the Candy
- the Factory Balls series
- There Is No Game (the original one doesn't have an article, so I linked the second one)
- Clicker Heroes
- World's Hardest Game
- the Snail Bob series
- the Learn to Fly series
- the Bloons Tower Defense series
- the Sugar, Sugar series — Preceding unsigned comment added by MikeKhajiit (talk • contribs) 15:09, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
- MikeKhajiit, if you can find reliable sources for each game that demonstrates significant coverage, then perhaps the games may be suitable for the article. — Yours, Berrely • Talk∕Contribs 18:16, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
- There is a problem in that: how would there be a consensus regarding which games to be included in this game? Baudshaw (talk) 23:17, 28 April 2022 (UTC)

MemphisMD (talk) 17:04, 14 November 2024 (UTC) There is a grammatical error on this page, when talking about how the usage of the subject increased during covid, it says "has increased" rather than "increased", can you fix this error?
Done, thanks. DrOrinScrivello (talk) 19:57, 14 November 2024 (UTC)

This article is currently marketing fluff
editWhile I am not going to delve into the histories of the user(s) contributing to this article, it reads like marketing by the operators of the website, whether it is or not. For example, the infobox for advertising includes the parenthetical "with ad-free subscription available", which is pure marketing.
At minimum the "reception" section needs to be expanded to reference many of the criticisms widely reported across the internet. Most notably:
- The significant quantity of obtrusive advertising, beyond what would be appropriate for young children in an educational setting.
- A cursory viewing of the site makes it clear that most content is only superficially educational, and that they're steering kids towards games which are addictive (low skill, high reward stimulus).
- The website has been banned in many school districts around the world, which is inconsistent with its claim of being educational.

- For the record, my interest in this comes from being a parent who was observing his son playing games on this website. I’m generally quite relaxed about gaming (he’s currently playing What the Car on Apple TV as I write this), but I draw the line at low-skill, high-dopamine games that can trigger addictive responses similar to casino mechanics.
- When I became suspicious about the game, I looked into the site. There isn’t much coverage from major media outlets, but there is plenty of forum discussion. Most of it tends to fall into three categories: (a) nostalgia about wasting time on it at school, (b) frustration that the site was blocked by their school, or (c) complaints that the copious advertising makes the games difficult to play on low-power devices.
- By contrast, this article reads like an ad. Simon Wright (talk) 07:36, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
