pardon

edit

FDR couldn't have pardoned Resko in 1949. He wasn't a governor then, and he had been dead four years. I'm guessing the reference to FDR as a governor actually alludes to when Resko's death sentence was commuted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.55.48.18 (talk) 04:57, 8 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Movie title

edit

Where does the movie title come from?

Just curious. 2600:8800:785:9400:C23F:D5FF:FEC4:D51D (talk) 11:32, 11 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Carl Carmer

edit

In the film, Carmer is portrayed as an art critic. However, in real life he was better known as a notable author. This difference needs to be bridged. While we can call Carmer an "art critic" in the plot description, a fuller and more accurate description is needed for the "factual background" section.
