Incorrect Summary?
edit> For each pyruvate molecule (from glycolysis), the overall yield of energy-containing compounds from the citric acid cycle is three NADH, one FADH2, and one GTP.
Each pyruvate from glycolysis yields four NADH, not three? The cycle produces 3 NADH, yes, but the processing of pyruvate to Acetyl-CoA provides an additional NADH, so it's a net of four per pyruvate, or three per Acetyl-CoA. Eniteris (talk) 15:13, 15 September 2025 (UTC)
Questionable claim about origins of the TCA cycle?
editThe article claims that the Kreb's cycle may have originated more than once. The only source provided is the abstract of a symposium presentation from 1987. I've briefly reviewed the literature, and this doesn't seem to be a common claim in modern studies. Would it be possible to find a more modern source (or at least a full paper) that substantiates this argument in anyway? Imelg (talk) 10:25, 30 October 2025 (UTC)
Should be renamed Krebs cycle
editThat name is more common anyway. Laserman-69420 (talk) 17:17, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
