Requested factual updates to article

edit

Hello. I am assisting Chris Dyer with proposed updates to this article and therefore have a conflict of interest. In accordance with Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines, I am requesting review rather than editing the article directly.

== Request 1: Update current location ==

The article currently states:

"Chris Dyer (born March 3, 1979) is a Peruvian–Canadian artist based in Montreal."

I would like to request that this be updated to:

"Chris Dyer (born March 3, 1979) is a Peruvian–Canadian artist based in Saint Petersburg, Florida."

Supporting sources:

https://creativepinellas.org/magazine/meet-the-artists-selected-for-the-lealman-mural-and-signal-box-projects/

== Request 2: Workshop wording update ==

Current text:

"He teaches art workshops and classes on art techniques, spray painting, traditional medicinal healing, and the business of art, as well as offering an online class."

Proposed text:

"He teaches art workshops and classes on art techniques and the business of art, as well as offering an online class."

Citation [5] appears to be inactive and no longer verifies the specific claims regarding spray painting and traditional medicinal healing. Unless a replacement source can be provided, I would like to request that the wording be simplified to reflect only information that can currently be verified.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Hi, thanks for asking here. If you add {{EditCOI}} to your request, it will be flagged to other editors for review. I have added an archive link to the deadlink you have pointed out; however, it is not a reliable, independent source, so if there is a better one that can be used to verify his activities, that would be good. Hi, thank you for your help! Amandacdovel (talk) 18:34, 21 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
 Approved  Those details were cited to the subject's own website and were archived, so the claim that the references "no longer verifies" the information is spurious. As a compromise, I've elected to remove that entire section, which was promotional in nature. Regards,  Spintendo  20:17, 12 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
