editNot sure if it is encyclopedia material, but Chad graduated from West Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte in 1998. He was the star shortstop there. -BHxINFECTED—Preceding unsigned comment added by Bhxinfected (talk • contribs) 15:16, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Chad Tracy → Chad Tracy (baseball, born 1980) – Now that the other Chad Tracy is the interim manager of the Red Sox, I'm qustioning whether this Chad Tracy is the primary topic. This Tracy had a much more notable MLB career, but it really wasn't that notable. I suggest dabbing both. Esolo5002 (talk) 12:23, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
- Support - Looks like the most recent objection to this move was back in 2012, and it made sense at that point considering their relative careers; but today's spike in page views and confused edits makes it clear a lot more people are talking about 1985!Tracy than when he was in the middle of his minor league player career, and that seems likely to continue even if he doesn't remain very long as the interim manager. I agree that moving this player to your suggested title and having Chad Tracy as a dab page would be a lot clearer. Princess Lirin (talk) 13:15, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
- I also support (and slightly prefer) the proposed alternate disambiguation of "(third baseman)" and "(baseball manager)", as suggested by 162 etc. below, since that does look like the best interpretation of WP:NCBASE considering where their careers are at these days. I'm in favor of any move where 1980!Tracy ends up disambiguated and Chad Tracy leads to a disambiguation page that lists both of them. Princess Lirin (talk) 00:09, 27 April 2026 (UTC)
- Support as well for the reasons PL says. Alyo (chat·edits) 16:33, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
- Support per Princess Lirin and Alyo. Chad Tracy should indeed become a disambiguation page listing Chad Tracy (baseball, born 1980) along with Chad Tracy (baseball, born 1985). —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 16:41, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
- If consensus were to approve creation of a Chad Tracy disambiguation page that would list Chad Tracy → Chad Tracy (third baseman) as well as Chad Tracy (baseball, born 1985) → Chad Tracy (baseball manager), per 162 etc., below, I would also support such alternative options. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 17:33, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
- Move to Chad Tracy (third baseman) per WP:NCBASE. I've also moved the other article to Chad Tracy (baseball manager), as his playing career is not notable, and birthdates are only used as a last resort per NCBASE. 162 etc. (talk) 17:04, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
- This is a perfectly acceptable alternative in my eyes. Esolo5002 (talk) 17:39, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
- Support for either dab contemplated in this discussion, with Chad Tracy to become a disambiguation page. Dmoore5556 (talk) 19:31, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
- Support the 1980 one has 5,879 views but the 1985 one has 4,605[] and both have jumped yesterday[]. Crouch, Swale (talk) 20:19, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
- Support move to Chad Tracy (third baseman) per 162. Rgrds. --BX (talk) 19:59, 1 May 2026 (UTC)
