Excessive setting categories

edit

This film has 7 setting categories. That is excessive. It is an American film. I think we could either do Films set in the United States and Films set in Europe, or since it is an American film just do Films set in Europe.John Pack Lambert (talk) 23:04, 22 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Being an American film doesn't mean anything when it comes to the setting. A more important question is how much of a film needs to take place somewhere for it to count as being "set" in that place? I don't usually deal much with categories so I don't really know the answer to that one. - adamstom97 (talk) 08:18, 23 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
WP:CATDEF is what you are looking for Adam. If a large portion of a film, regardless of production nationality, is set in a certain location, those categories can and should be added. See also WP:FILMCAT. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 22:17, 24 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

End credits scene

edit

It's not end credits scene, it's teaser (teaser-trailer). , Spider-Man:_Far_From_Home#cite_note-TrailerEndgame-132 Gevorg89 (talk) 15:12, 15 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

It is a scene after the credits, that makes it a post-credits scene. - adamstom97 (talk) 16:02, 15 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
But is told as a scene, not as a trailer or part of a trailer. "In a post-credits scene, which is part of the Avengers teaser-trailer...". No Way Home plot doesn't retell Dr. Strange MoM teaser. "Defenders" final epispde doesn't retell Punisher teaser. Gevorg89 (talk) 19:50, 15 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
This article doesn't retell the Avengers teaser either, it just notes the scene that plays before the teaser. - adamstom97 (talk) 20:35, 15 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
The scene IS the teaser, it's part of it. Either remove it or mark it as such "Avengers' teaser-trailer llays in the end credits. It starts with a scene where Fury...". Or add "Strange aporoaches Wanda" to SM: NWH's plot. I also provided links and sources that it's full teaser. Gevorg89 (talk) 06:49, 16 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
No, there is a scene element that leads into the trailer. That is noted in this plot summary. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:00, 16 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
That scene is part of daid trailer, as said in FFH article, its source and scene's video. Why would there be a scene AND a trailer? It's like adding X-Men: DoFP scene in TASM 2 because it was in theatrical run.
How about "End credits are followed by Avengers trailer that starts with Fury...". Gevorg89 (talk) 16:09, 16 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
A trailer is not part of the film's plot, but the scene played before the trailer is because it was the end-credits scene. Trailers are part of marketing. Trailblazer101🔥 (discuss · contribs) 16:33, 16 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
The scene is part of said teaser/teasertrailer. https://youtube.com/watch?v=YDjwDZvL-mM
Or NWH end credits started with Strange and Wanda talking and then came teaser. Should I tape how film is on online platforms or after downloading? Gevorg89 (talk) 16:53, 16 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
"Release" section says "a teaser trailer for The Avengers that served as a post-credits scene of Captain America: The First Avenger". Can plot description of "end credits scene" have a regerence/note saying it was part of said teaser trailer, or contain a link to said paragraph/sentence?
