Talk:COVID-19 pandemic in New Zealand

Jacinda Ardern

edit

Her name is Ardern, not Adern, and there should be a link to the page covering her. (Edit - to clarify, in the section on her resignation, her name is spelled incorrectly -- I didn't notice her name previously in the piece (as it's not what I was looking for), so I didn't notice that the link was above, my apologies) 2001:1970:49A7:3000:8601:FFAE:A136:6EFC (talk) 04:32, 29 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Swiss Cheese Model

edit

The "Swiss Cheese Model" feels somewhat out of place and would perhaps be better replaced with a clip of the Alert level system. It seems more like a promotion of the website rather than actual information COVID in NZ; i.e the concept of the "Swiss cheese model" would likely be completely unknown to most people and was never a widely known model (It's simply derivative of James Reasons' model in general, rather than NZ specific policies)  Preceding unsigned comment added by 2407:7000:9C93:9A00:4D32:C7AF:31CF:E770 (talkcontribs) 10:30 (UTC)

It shows the New Zealand-wide explanations at the time. A picture or animation of the alert level system can also be added.-gadfium 18:33, 25 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Recent Court Rulings

edit

A recent court ruling from the Court of Appeal of New Zealand on the 16 of February 2024 has ruled that the New Zealand Defence Force mandate for the COVID-19 vaccination is unlawful and does not align with the New Zealand Bill of Rights Act 1990. https://www.courtsofnz.govt.nz/cases/four-members-of-the-armed-forces-v-chief-of-defence-force ChayceW (talk) 11:48, 1 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

The charts showing cases and deaths (with German language axes) are incorrect. There was not a sustained flatline of either metric in NZ. ~2026-18856-95 (talk) 18:58, 26 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want made. Please detail the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. meamemg (talk) 19:04, 26 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
