Talk:Butyrophenone

Domperidon is not a butyrophenone derivative.

edit

Domperidon isn't a butyrophenon derivative; hence it doesn't belong here. It could be mentioned, since its structure was developed apart butyrophenone antidopamninics, but it isn't really a butyrophenone.--84.163.78.126 16:57, 16 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Butyrophenone per se isn't antidopaminic

edit

Butyrophenone (1-Phenyl-1-butanone, without substitution) has no relevant affinities for dopamine receptors; hence, I change the first sentence of this article. Further, I change the brief description of domperidone, since it really isn't a direct butyrophenone derivative.--84.163.78.65 (talk) 23:54, 28 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Benperidol

edit

I have cite-tagged the statement that this drug is 200 times more potent than Thorazine. The wikipedia article for Benperidol says 75-100 times stronger. Hopefully, someone can come in with a source that will clear this up.Mk5384 (talk) 03:42, 28 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Flanked by a butyl chain

edit

Isn't it a propyl chain? One carbon is part of the carbonyl group, is it counted? ~2026-79055-7 (talk) 02:15, 5 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Sure enough! Fixed. Thanks for reporting this mistake. DMacks (talk) 02:53, 5 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
