Genesis 4:22

edit

In the article's History section, should there be a mention of the passage, "And as for Zillah, she also bore Tubal-Cain, an instructor of every craftsman in bronze and iron." Bob Enyart, Denver KGOV radio host (talk) 21:52, 10 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Only if we also include, in the History section, the third Age of Man, which was the Bronze Age (following the Silver Age and preceding the Heroic Age), of which age the humans thereof were made by Zeus from ash trees, and had bronze armour. :P Firejuggler86 (talk) 01:14, 1 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
I'm not sure why the inclusion of one would necessitate the inclusion of the other, but TBH I don't see why we couldn't mention both that it appears in a biblical account and that it is mentioned in Greek mythos. That many ancient peoples found bronze to be important enough to include in their own narratives about the world seems relevant to the history section. It's not like by saying that it appears in Genesis, we have to be saying with Wikipedia's voice that the Genesis narrative is true. JMM12345 (talk) 15:44, 5 April 2021 (UTC)JMM12345Reply
It does not even say "bronze". It says "נְחשֶׁת", which means "copper". 185.85.154.175 (talk) 09:09, 13 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Why have biblical section

edit

Seems irrelevant there are many ancient works of fiction that reference bronze 217.142.18.255 (talk) 06:12, 20 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Engineering Aspect of Bronze is Ignored

edit

This article is focused only on Bronze in history.

There is a whole world of engineering and metallurgy missing here.

In this context, Bronze is an umbrella term for copper alloys with various alloying elements.

There needs to be a section or maybe a separate article for the Bronze Alloys. I searched Silicone Bronze and was redirected here. 2603:7081:D03:EEFA:4115:4D2F:C538:CBF0 (talk) 20:03, 21 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

The Uses section mentions bearings nine times.

edit

Feels a little repetitive with the bearings. 65.128.99.204 (talk) 05:57, 9 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Jefferson Memorial

edit

Considering that the Jefferson Memorial is made of bronze why is it not mentioned in the sculpture section? 50.5.71.97 (talk) 09:18, 12 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
