- Announced 04March2023 that Brenda Lucki's husband Ray Gauthier had passed away recently. Gautier, also an RCMP officer, had been the subject of a false story that claimed he was a close relative of former Finance Minister Bill Morneau. RCMP later confirmed that there is no discernable connection betwen the two families.
