NFT

edit

The only discussion of NFTs is in the context of electronic game content (skins, pets, ...). I know for a fact that NFTs are being used for other things AND they are clearly a "use" of blockchains. Not having a separate section on them is ludicrous. ~2026-92463-4 (talk) 06:57, 15 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Current text:

In January 2015, the size had grown to almost 30 GB, and from January 2016 to January 2017, the bitcoin blockchain grew from 50 GB to 100 GB in size.
The ledger size had exceeded 200 GB by early 2020.

Add after the 200 GB sentence:

By 2024, the Bitcoin blockchain exceeded 600 GB.

Cite blockchain.com/charts/blocks-size. Edit summary: "Update blockchain size with current data" Crypto odie (talk) 03:00, 10 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Partly done: blockchain.com is not a reliable source, so it should not have been cited here. Routine charts are probably not going to work, since any particular time period is going to be arbitrary. A reliable, independent source should be cited for this. Grayfell (talk) 03:54, 10 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
