Genesis Rodriguez is how credited
editI checked the actual film credits, and every reference I could find in this article and IMDb. They all spell her name Genesis Rodriguez. This is not a misspelling. It is either a valid alternative name she uses for all her credits or the article about the actress spells her name wrong because of hypercorrection of this American actress with a Spanish sounding name. Geraldo Perez (talk) 21:51, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
- It actually is a misspelling, but Americans are known for blatantly ignoring accents and other such marks. "Génesis Rodríguez" is not even pronounced the same as "Genesis Rodriguez". The accents are important. On top of that, we here on Wikipedia don't always use the exact spelling used in the film credits when it's obvious they just wrote it wrong (either on purpose or because the person doing the credits just didn't have a clue). ···日本穣 · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 23:31, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
- @Nihonjoe: She herself spells it without the accents on her social media sites, and we generally presume people know how to spell their own names, generally to the point of being authoritative about it. Also all English language reliable sources spell it without the accents. Credits reflect what she wants, they are extremely unlikely to make a spelling mistake. Generally in English orthography accents don't mean the same as in Spanish so the accents are somewhat misleading for English and generally not used. People born in the US with ancestry in Spanish speaking countries generally drop the accent marks in their names so this is not uncommon. Geraldo Perez (talk) 00:03, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
Mochi voice
editMochi is voiced by Frank Welker, according to IMDb. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.93.116.72 (talk) 17:47, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
- IMDb is not a reliable source, it is a convenience but dubious for stuff not shown in credits. Anyway this article covers major roles in the film and if something is so minor that it is not worth a credit, likely doesn't belong anyway. Geraldo Perez (talk) 18:50, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
According to several sources, Mochi is voiced by Frank Welker. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:18D:4701:C4A0:2150:2F74:1A50:4E1C (talk) 20:55, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
- Even if there is a reliable source that supports that, and one wasn't provided, an uncredited role is too minor to be concerned with in this article. Geraldo Perez (talk) 21:27, 15 June 2018 (UTC)

- Yes. The primary topics are split between the film and the comic book on which it was based. InfiniteNexus (talk) 00:42, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
Incorrect description of Cass Hamada?
editThe Voice cast section describes Maya Rudolph as playing "Cass, Hiro and Tadashi's maternal aunt and guardian" [my italics]. None of the three references appear to specify 'maternal', and by usual naming conventions, if Cass was their Mother's sister she would not share their – and therefore their Father's – surname (except by the unlikely coincidence of two Hamadas having married).
It seems much more likely that she is their paternal aunt, though this deduction is by Wikipedia standards probably OR/Synthesis.
Is there any Reliable source that states she is either their maternal or their paternal aunt? If not, neither specification can be justified in the article. {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} ~2026-27434-43 (talk) 17:46, 28 May 2026 (UTC)
