edit@Auntieruth55: G'day, Ruth, regarding "recruited to the military", is this correct? He would have been 14 in 1952. Do you mean JROTC? If so, I think potentially this should be reworded to make it a little clearer. I don't know much about JROTC, but would it be considered as "the military" per se? - fixed the living note, and cleaned up JrRotc. yes, It would be I think, especially in the 1950s. He was in ROTC all the way through college, and then remained in reserves. auntieruth (talk) 19:19, 31 July 2018 (UTC)
