Should Kevin Crull have his own Wikipedia page, or should he be discussed here?
editFor the second time in two years, the Canadian media is reporting that Bell Media Chairman Kevin Crull allegedly tried to directly interfere with the content of news reporting. [1] This controversy is national news, and clearly worthy of a mention on Wikipedia, but I do not know whether the appropriate place to make note of the issue is on this page, on a separate page about the issue, or on a separate page about Mr. Crull. As an outspoken public figure, perhaps he should have his own page. On the other hand, his statements and actions are only newsworthy because of his association with the company. Does anyone have any thoughts on the appropriate place for this? NikolaiSmith (talk) 03:06, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
Good question and I support the idea. --Sd-100 (talk) 20:36, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
Which option do you support? A mention on this page, a separate page on the issue, or a separate page for the individual? Personally, I think that it could just go on this page. NikolaiSmith (talk) 19:48, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- A mention on this page. However if there more additionnal infos who are added, then we could post a separate page on the issue. --Sd-100 (talk) 11:54, 1 April 2015 (UTC)

editI am trying to find a tape from the 1980's. One was Real to Reel and the other was Scarborough Today. Both were on Scarborough TV. It could have been Shaw or Rodgers or other. Can you help — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.70.69.107 (talk) 09:57, 23 March 2019 (UTC)
History section removed
editDid someone remove the history section? Because I'm concerned, and it's important to a company's history. 45.225.71.210 (talk) 17:08, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
ownership contradiction
editIt seems that there is some conflicting information in this article and others related, and authoritative sources regarding the owership.
In the article, it is mentioned that the parent company is BCE Inc, while both the CRTC [1] and Quebec's Enterprise Registrar [2], which are authoritative sources, show it as a fully owned subsidiary of Bell Canada.
What should be done for this?

- Going back to 2012 using the Internet Archive, the CRTC states the same as present day, Bell Media is 100% owned by Bell Canada

- The reasons for the details of corporate structure can vary. A network of ownership shares held by intermediate subsidiaries that all end up 100% owned by a parent company is generally due to ways that corporate mergers or reorganizations were structured, for tax reasons, or other legal obligations. BCE was originally more of a holding company, but became more directly involved in operating its child companies. As shown in its CRTC ownership structure chart and its 2024 annual report, it has two main divisions: one for its communications operations, and one for its media operations. As the actual operating parent company for Bell Media is BCE, and not the organization publicly known as Bell Canada, I feel it's reasonable to describe it as such in the article. In effect, the paper holding company "Bell Canada" is just named that for historical legal reasons, and isn't the same as the current Bell Canada organization. isaacl (talk) 00:04, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
