Hoards

edit

@BabelStone: Do you think that this article should include hoards that contain Ban Liang cash coins or would it be wise to write a separate list of hoards for Qin dynasty and Han dynasty coinages, respectively? --Donald Trung (talk) 19:03, 26 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

I am then mostly referring to hoards like this, where also other objects are found. --Donald Trung (talk) 19:07, 26 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Ban LiangBanliang – Form seemingly used in the majority of scholarly works that mention 半兩, e.g.

Support move. Capitalising the second word looks incorrect on its face, even to a numismatics novice like me. If the common name in scholarly works is concatenated to banliang, we should go with that, but downcase liang as absolute minimum. Folly Mox (talk) 15:32, 2 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
  • Support, I think. Despite every single source currently on this page using "Ban Liang" or "ban liang", searching google scholar for "半兩 coin" with English language sources only, I'm seeing at least a 9:1 ratio for "Banliang"/"banliang". (I tried google books too, but the English language filter apparently just doesn't do anything.) CMD (talk) 18:43, 2 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
