Reverting of rumor based allegations
editAm raising issue on recent addition of this page which adds "He accused Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi to have conspired against him." The problem is the source itself mentions "No, I don't accuse anyone. I am just saying what I heard", at this level of conflicting coverage including it on page seems extra.
Or to put it in another way, can we use same source and would be comfortable adding a edit on page of say Sh Rahul Gandhi citing : They are alleged for so and so? Nisingh.8 (talk) 09:16, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
- We can insert, later Asaram added "No, I don't accuse anyone. I am just saying what I heard". Zalaraz (talk) 12:53, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
- Yes, that would at least make it better reflection of source. But then again why add such lengthy if-else statement on presumed allegation on page.. Nisingh.8 (talk) 14:33, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
- For example, similar additions have been shot down on other notable person pages like Talk:Rahul Gandhi/Archive 1#Not a neutral articles citing Wikipedia is not a news website
- or similarly on Talk:Rahul Gandhi/Archive 1#Edit request from Ankush.sak, 9 June 2011 edit was not made citing sources did not unequivocally back up the statement Nisingh.8 (talk) 14:41, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
- It is necessary to cite Asaram's own defense on his own page with regards to a serious charge. If you see such type of details missing for Rahul Gandhi then you can work on that article. Zalaraz (talk) 02:37, 3 May 2026 (UTC)
