Traditional ?
"Like much of Tōhoku, the Aomori region remains dominated by traditional industries such as farming, forestry, and fishing."
In fact this industries have been developped to chase the Ainus, which had a completely different way of life. So, "traditional" doesn't mean anything I think. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.204.61.81 (talk) 12:44, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
Ken Cannon?
Article claims three dialects of Japanese: Standard, Western, and Tohoku. This omits kyushu dialect, see Japanese Dialects, which makes no mention specifically of Tohoku, and seems to overstress the strangeness of Tohoku-ben. Plenty of countryside dialects are charactarized negatively in mainstream Japan. Overall I think the lack of citation here means this article is written based on a personal opinion. Or some reference to the monolithich 'Ken Cannon' mentioned should be added. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 180.54.58.172 (talk) 04:34, 10 October 2012 (UTC)
Looking for help
Greetings: My name is Ivan Robaina Bychko, I am a 19 years old Cuban wikipedian who is very interested in Japanese history and culture. Currently I am working in several articles about Japan in Spanish wikipedia, also I am writing an article about your country for Santiago University (Universidad de Oriente). I kindly would like to have your help to make clear certain points about current Japan that are not very easy to find at another wikipedias. As my internet connectivity is very limited, you should write to me at my e-mail account if you are interested in helping me. I would be very grateful if you could help me. The GA review is being reopened due to a problematic review, so while this article was nominated for DYK in good faith, the nomination needs to wait until the GA promotion has been confirmed or undone. Putting this nomination on hold until the process has been completed. BlueMoonset (talk) 14:52, 3 October 2020 (UTC)

- @Narutolovehinata5: The GA review was not successful, so I'll just withdraw this DYK nomination for now. ❯❯❯ Mccunicano☕️ 07:14, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
Noted. Marking for closure, without prejudice against renomination if and when the article is brought to GA status for good. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 11:02, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
