Section on "Celebration" needs some obvious work.

edit

"Celebration" section needs work on sentence structure and grammar.

Based closely on USA Today article here: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2017/02/10/iran-celebrates-anniversary-1979-islamic-revolution-mass-rallies/97742024/

Here's the wording of this section; I've removed it from the body as it really doesn't make sense:

The anniversary of the Islamic Revolution is considered as a political celebration.[1] Iranian flags and many posters with revolutionary slogans were seen between marchers.[2] Also as anti-American senses, there was the United States flag and pictures of current and former U.S. presidents.[3] The presentation of Iranian unbreakable ties with the Supreme Leader and the Islamic Republic was the issue that prominent religious and political characters had requested from Iranian to participate to the march. Between Iranian officials who join to the march was Qasem Soleimani, commander of Quds Force.[4]

Please put it back if you can reword it so that it does make sense. Schwede66 08:24, 9 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

NPOV dispute

edit

A user by a Persian username, "Lotus Prince" in English, has been making edits that strongly paint the government of Iran in a negative light and place undue weight on one aspect of the celebration of the Anniversary of the Iranian Revolution. This user has also made edits that compromise the neutrality of other Iran-related articles, such as the article Hossein Borujerdi. I believe this user has a vested interest in painting the government of Iran in a negative light and that it needs revision to meet Wikipedia's neutrality standards. If I was an observer with no knowledge of the subject I would think it was a national pastime in Iran to disparage the government on this day. Divotdefer (talk) 07:22, 22 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, it's clear that section was meant to list as many negative things about the Iranian government as possible that had anything to do with the anniversary. I've removed the offending content and replaced it with a sentence describing the existence of the protests. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 🛸 17:58, 6 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
