- @Olliefant I have updated the article per your notes. Let me know what your feedback is SkywalkerEccleston (talk) 11:22, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Olliefant I have just added a section to the article about historical accuracy. Let me know if you think it works. SkywalkerEccleston (talk) 04:49, 24 March 2026 (UTC)
Lead
- Too short
- Updated
- [biographical] [television film] is an MOS:SOB violation
- Removed both links
- [science fiction television series] [Doctor Who] is an MOS:SOB violation
- Removed first link
Plot
- Not a massive fan of the final paragraph, probably merge it with the previous
- Done
- "("One day I shall come back...")." remove the parenthesis for consistency
- Done
Cast
- I find the subheadings unneeded, and the listing violates WP:FILMCAST
- Updated to match the film's credits, which are in order of appearance
- Can some of the images be moved to other sections?
- I think they work better in the Cast section
- "Bradley went on to portray..." I don't think this really fits the section
- Moved
Production
- Kinda hard to follow without knowledge of the series
- Let me know if it works now
- "Companion actors" is very much unclear without prior knowledge, something like "X, Y, and Z who played the role of the Doctor's companion..." with a wikilink to compaion
- Re-edited
- "executive producer Steven Moffat" clarify that he is no longer in the role, also he was showrunner not an EP
- Done. I think technically his title was EP and head writer, but showrunner is cleaner albeit being an Americanism.
- "(his first and only choice)" can this be intergrated into the text outside of parenthesis?
- Done
- "The League of Gentlemen" whats that? A movie? A series? A web drama? also its missing the broadcast years
- Updated
- "Gatiss had ambitions to recreate the death of Sara Kingdom from The Daleks' Master Plan (1965–1966) with Sara's actress Jean Marsh as May Warden, who portrayed the aged version of Sara" this is very hard to follow even WITH prior knowledge of the series
- I have rewritten this, let me know if it works
- Link "Doctor Who's 60th anniversary" to Doctor Who specials (2023)
- Done
- "replaced by incoming" -> "replaced with one by the then-incoming"
- Done
Broadcast and reception
- Needs expansion
- I have merged it with the previous section - let me know what you think
- If merging occurs rename the section to something like "Release and reception"
- Done
Awards and nominations
- Merge this with the above section
- Done
- Could use expansion (like what did it lose to/beat out?)
- In checking other Wikipedia pages for films, it is not usually stated which other films a film lost a potential award to.
- Remove the parenthesis
- Done
- Can the difference between the "BAFTA Craft Awards" and the "BAFTA Awards" be explained? Also the BAFTAs should be listed first as they are more significant
- Done
Home media
- This could also arguably be merged with the above sections
- I would agree, but in doing so I think it makes the page harder to follow
Potential sequel
- If you rename the section, this could be a good place to mention the future roles (ie Bradley as 1, Dehawan as the Master). Otherwise I don't think there is enough here to justify a section
- Done - I've renamed it "Legacy", and moved the 2023 alterations sections here
