I gather from the comments of another editor (elsewhere) that "add-drop multiplexers" are properly ones that merge time-domain multiplexed SONET/SDH streams, while optical add-drop multiplexers merge WDM channels. This article seems to confuse the two. If both of these statements are true, some of the material here should be moved to the other article.--Srleffler 03:34, 7 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
