- With Chicago winning the Lottery in both 2023 and 2024, they are ineligible to move up in the draft.
- This is incorrect. The Blackhawks didn't "win" the #2 pick Artom Leshunov....that as rightful spot at #2.
- They can move up to #1 or #2 by winning the lottery. ~2026-21644-92 (talk) 03:28, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
Further conditions regarding Florida's 1st round pick going to Chicago?
editAs part of the Seth Jones trade, Chicago will get Florida's first round pick. However, according to , that pick is also top 10-protected and that pick appears likely to defer to 2027. I can't find any info about this in this NHL article; Can anyone confirm or deny the info from the first link? Ho-ju-96 (talk) 08:24, 10 April 2026 (UTC)
- As confirms via the Florida Panthers official website, Florida will select 9th overall in the 2026 NHL Draft. [1] Batrous (talk) 00:17, 6 May 2026 (UTC)
- I also found additional confirmation from the official Blackhawks website; Ho-ju-96 (talk) 09:23, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
