Should we add this to the article?
editConsidering the (old) NOAA/NWS article (from the La Crosse, Win. office) linked as a reference, I was wondering should we mention the following info directly in the article? The article has the following sentence: "Although this tornado does not have an official Fujita scale rating, based on the destruction it would likely be an F4 (rated tornado)."
Please let me know if this should be mentioned. Thank You. Halls4521 (talk) 00:45, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
- I think that's fine. ChessEric 01:41, 28 March 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks. Halls4521 (talk) 02:51, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
- I concur. Sounds like it would be fine to add it. It's the earliest tornado I've see where a reliable source mentions a possible rating. Even Grazulis doesn't assign a rating. TornadoLGS (talk) 18:52, 31 March 2024 (UTC)
- Added the mention of the possible rating to the article. Halls4521 (talk) 02:53, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
Fatalities list
editI had checked Significant Tornadoes for info in this tornado, since it wasn't cited here and I found he gives a death toll of at least 22 and possibly as high as 34. However, from other sources we have a list of the names and ages of 17 people who were killed. I'm not sure what place the list has at this point, since there's a good chance it doesn't list all the fatalities. TornadoLGS (talk) 22:38, 1 December 2025 (UTC)
