The station has two side platforms, connected by a pedestrian underpass. A pedestrian bridge across Oratia Stream provides access from Heremai Street.[1]

History

The station was opened on 28 February 1924.[4]

In 2006–2007, the station was closed over summer to be upgraded, and lengthened for 6-car trains.[5] A second platform was added, opening on 4 December 2006.[1]

On 8 June 2010, the double tracking of the Western Line was completed.[6][7]

The station was electrified in 2015.[3]

Western Line suburban train services, between Swanson and Britomart, are provided by Auckland One Rail on behalf of Auckland Transport.
