The application was created by Teddy Aaron of Greenwich, Connecticut, and Brynn Forlizzi of Darien, Connecticut. Aaron developed the idea after supporting a loved one with cancer, while Forlizzi contributed her experience as a teenage cancer patient and survivor.[1][2]
Development
editAaron began developing Soothe Note after observing how difficult it could be for patients and caregivers to remember symptoms, medication changes and questions between medical appointments.[1]
CT Insider reported that he began working on the application in 2025 and later showed an early version to Forlizzi. The two continued developing the application using their experiences with caregiving and cancer treatment.[2]
Soothe Note became publicly available in March 2026 as a free iPhone application.[3][4]
Features
editSoothe Note includes tools for tracking symptoms, medications, appointments, mood and energy. Information entered into the application can be organized into summaries for later medical visits.[1][5]
The application also includes caregiver features related to check-ins, medication information, appointments and caregiver burnout.[3][2]
Soothe Note is an organizational tool and is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment or advice from a healthcare professional.
