Rosalinda Galán (singer)

Rosalinda Galán (born May 6, 1990) is a Spanish singer and actress, best known for participating in Benidorm Fest 2026 with the song "Mataora", finishing in 3rd place.[1]

Background

Galán was raised in Los Palacios y Villafranca[2] and started singing at 5.[3] During adolescence, she developed interests in copla music.[4] Her mother was in the flamenco scene.[2]

Career

At 19, Galán moved to Madrid for acting training.[3] She has acted in films such as "Historias Lamentables" (2020), where she worked with Javier Fesser.[1] She acted her first lead role in the feature film "Zoe", which premiered at the Málaga Film Festival.[1] Galán performed the role of "María Jiménez" in the theatre production of "Quiero ser María Jiménez".[2][1]

In 2024, Galán released her debut song "CÁLLATE", which addresses gender-based violence.[2] She released an EP with interpretations of famous copla songs in her style.[3][1] She released "La Suri" in 2025, which is a tribute to suripantas.[3]

In 2025, Galán was announced as a participant in Benidorm Fest 2026 with the song "Mataora".[1] She placed 3rd in the final with a total of 140 points.[5] In June 2026, she released the song "El Coco" and was an interviewee on RNE's morning show.[6]

Style and influences

Galán performs copla with folk and electronica sounds, and has stated her genre to be "Electronic Pasodoble".[1][4] She takes influences from her acting training into musical performance.[4] Her music is influenced by her feminist identity and her Andalusian roots.[3][4]
