editAccording to the 2022 census, it has a population of 16,665, down from 21,302 in 2012.[2]
Overview
editIt is primarily a commercial sector, with plenty of businesses located there.[3] AB Bank Rwanda, a microfinance bank maintains a branch in the sector.[4] In March 2018, Commercial Bank of Africa (Rwanda) established a branch in this area.[5]

editNyarugenge District is divided into 10 sectors (imirenge): Gitega, Kanyinya, Kigali, Kimisagara, Mageragere, Muhima, Nyakabanda, Nyamirambo, Nyarugenge, and Rwezamenyo.
