NMRA-511, also known as BTRX-323511 or NMRA-323511, is a vasopressin V1A receptor antagonist which is under development for the treatment of agitation and anxiety disorders.[1][2][3][4] It has been found to reduce threat behaviors in marmosets.[4] The drug was originated by BlackThorn Therapeutics and is under development by Neumora Therapeutics.[1][2][3] As of April 2026, it is in phase 1 clinical trials for agitation, whereas no decent development has been reported for anxiety disorders.[1] The chemical structure of NMRA-511 does not yet appear to have been disclosed.[1][3]

BlackThorn Therapeutics has also investigated selective V1a receptor antagonists for the treatment of social and emotional disabilities. They prioritized the scaffold hopping approach during their research and modified the well-known benzodiazepine and benzazepine structures [61–63]. These attempts resulted in BTRX-323511, but after the merge with Neumora Therapeutics, the compound was further developed as NMRA511 (its structure has not yet been disclosed) [97].
