Biography and career
editChien graduated from UCLA in 2008, and started her career as a fashion model, modeling for brands such as Target, Mazda and L'Oreal.[2][3]
In 2009, Chien co-founded the company Nom Nom Truck which serves up Banh Mi and other Vietnamese-inspired dishes to customers in Los Angeles and San Francisco.[4][5][6] In April 2010, Chien along with co-founder Jennifer Green competed on a two-month reality TV show, The Great Food Truck Race.[7][8]
Chien was listed among 25 and under: Next-gen female entrepreneurs by CNN.[7] In 2011, Chien was listed among 30 under 30 by Inc. Magazine.[4]
In 2019, Chien started public speaking while attending Harvard Business School, and is set to become a 4th generation Harvard alumni in May 2024. Chien has spoken at industry events including CCW (Customer Contact Week) and TEDx, and she has been a guest on the Entrepreneur on Fire podcast.[9]
In January 2020 Chien founded Autopilot Reviews, a platform that works to help business owners improve their customer service and employee training.[3]
