Political career

edit

Wiebe was elected to Vancouver City Council in the October 2018 municipal election. In 2020, an independent conflict-of-interest investigation concluded that he had violated conflict-of-interest rules and recommended his resignation or removal.[5][6] Wiebe denied wrongdoing, stating that he had a "good faith belief" that he did not have a conflict.[7][5]

He was not re-elected in the 2022 Vancouver municipal election.[8]
