The Heartbreak on a Full Moon Tour was the eighth concert tour by American R&B singer Chris Brown, in support of his eighth studio album, Heartbreak on a Full Moon (2017). The tour began on June 19, 2018, at the White River Amphitheatre in Auburn, Washington, and concluded on August 4, 2018, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Background

Brown announced the tour on March 27, 2018, roughly five months following the release of Heartbreak on a Full Moon, his 45-track double album released in October 2017. The tour was promoted by Live Nation and visited amphitheaters and arenas across the United States during the summer of 2018.

The originally announced supporting lineup consisted of 6lack, H.E.R. and Rich the Kid, while Jacquees also appeared as an opening act during the tour.

Critical reception

Reviewing the tour's opening concert at the White River Amphitheatre in Auburn, Washington, Seattle Music News praised the "full-on production, complete with backup dancers, costume changes, and an elaborate set that easily kept the audience engaged and excited not only for the duration of the set, but also the two-hour traffic jam of a parking lot afterward". Reviewing the July 29, concert at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Maryland Heights, Missouri, The St. Louis American wrote that "Brown seemed intent on letting his fans know that he is a grown man, doing grown man things with a sexy show that highlighted his raunchier hits and relied heavily on the album for which his tour is named", concluding that the performance "was still a reminder that Brown is a formidable force on stage".
