La Leggenda della Grigna: Collezione Civico Museo Setificio Monti (Abbadia Lariana) La Leggenda della Grigna di Filippo Biagioli è un’opera tessile di straordinaria bellezza e complessità, che rende omaggio a uno dei miti più affascinanti delle Alpi lecchesi. Realizzata nel 2021, misura 146×75 cm e rappresenta una minuziosa rivisitazione in seta di una leggenda locale. La leggenda narra di una bellissima e spietata guerriera, che rifiutando l’amore di un cavaliere, lo fece uccidere dalla sua sentinella. Per punire la sua crudeltà, Dio trasformò la guerriera nella maestosa montagna della Grigna e la sentinella nella Grignetta. L’opera di Biagioli cattura l’essenza di questa storia attraverso un ricamo meticoloso eseguito a punto diritto su seta bourette rasata. I colori tenui, il panna e il marrone chiarissimo, creano un’atmosfera sospesa e malinconica, che ben si adatta alla tragicità del mito. La figura della guerriera, rappresentata con grande realismo, emerge dalla tela con la sua forza e la sua bellezza contraddittoria. Ogni dettaglio del ricamo è curato con maestria: i lineamenti del volto, la fluente chioma, l’armatura e le armi sono realizzati con un’estrema precisione. Lo sfondo, caratterizzato da una rappresentazione stilizzata del paesaggio montano, evoca l’ambiente aspro e imponente in cui si svolge la leggenda. Made in 2021, it measures 146×75 cm and represents a meticulous silk reinterpretation of a local legend. The legend tells of a beautiful and ruthless warrior who, rejecting the love of a knight, had him killed by her sentry. To punish her cruelty, God transformed the warrior into the majestic Grigna mountain and the sentry into the Grignetta. Biagioli's work captures the essence of this story through meticulous embroidery executed in straight stitch on satin bourette silk. The soft colours, cream and very light brown, create a suspended and melancholic atmosphere, which is well suited to the tragedy of the myth. The figure of the warrior, represented with great realism, emerges from the canvas with her strength and contradictory beauty. Every detail of the embroidery is masterfully crafted: the facial features, the flowing hair, the armour and the weapons are crafted with extreme precision. The background, characterised by a stylised representation of the mountain landscape, evokes the harsh and imposing environment in which the legend takes place. Biagioli's work is not only a visual representation of a myth, but is also a reflection on human nature, on beauty and cruelty, on the strength of nature and the fragility of man. The artist, through his technical mastery, invites the observer to immerse themselves in this thousand-year-old story and to reflect on the profound bond that unites man to the earth. |
