Fang was born in Plano, Texas. He attended the University of California, Berkeley for one year (2023–24)[2] then transferred to the Oklahoma State University.[3]
Fang won The Amateur Championship in 2025, earning him entry into the 2025 Open Championship, 2026 Masters Tournament, and 2026 U.S. Open.[4] He missed the cut at the Open Championship.[1]
