Effelder (German pronunciation: [ˈɛfɛldɐ]) is a 17 km (11 mi) tributary river of the Itz in the districts of Sonneberg (Thuringia) and Coburg (Bavaria). It flows into the Froschgrundsee, which is drained by the Itz, near Schönstädt.
