- ... that Robert A. Ellison Jr. donated more than 600 ceramic works to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, a gift valued at over $15 million?
- Source: Cited in ARTnews (Battaglia, 2021) and The New York Times (Vogel, 2009) within the article text.

- Comment: Note to Reviewer: I am requesting a minor extension of the 7-day rule. The article was moved to mainspace on June 8th, and as a new editor, I am still learning the DYK submission process. Given the significance of the subject's 600-piece gift to the Met, I hope an "IAR" extension of 48 hours is acceptable. This is my first DYK nomination, so I am exempt from the QPQ requirement.

Izzynova, thank you for an interesting life, art and collection, given in generosity! I have no problem with nominating a bit late, for a first-timer: welcome to DYK! In the hook, I'd like something such as "his collection", otherwise I'd think it's his creations. The value estimate has two references given but I can't find a value mentioned in any of those. The following sentence in the article, about a "great depository", needs a reference. Please place the daughter to her mother, - the "survived by" phrasing is not Wikipedia style. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:15, 17 June 2026 (UTC)
