Note from the draft author: COI disclosure and source assessment

edit

I am an employee of Nomupay and have disclosed this on my user page per WP:PAID. I am submitting this through AfC rather than creating it directly, and I will not edit the article after acceptance other than via {{edit COI}} requests.

For the reviewer's convenience, per the spirit of WP:THREE, the notability case does not rest on the funding coverage (which I recognise is routine under WP:CORPDEPTH). It rests on:

  1. Financial Times, 16 April 2021 (Stefania Palma and Olaf Storbeck): staff reporting on the Wirecard insolvency administrator's sale of the Asian entities to the company, with independent detail on the scope and pricing of the transaction.
  2. TechCrunch, 31 May 2023 (Ingrid Lunden, staff): substantial independent framing and analysis of the company as the vehicle that acquired Wirecard's licensed Asian and Turkish entities, including competitive analysis and sceptical treatment of the company's own characterisations.
  3. The Currency, 6 July 2023 (Francesca Comyn, legal editor): independent reporting on litigation against the company in the Irish courts, which I have included in the draft in the interests of WP:NPOV notwithstanding my affiliation.

Supporting sources include FinTech Futures' independent Companies House reporting of the Total Processing acquisition (24 November 2023) and The National's coverage of the 2021 asset sales.

Happy to answer any questions or make any changes a reviewer suggests. Meadow987 (talk) 13:03, 6 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
