Peacemaker set in the DCU

I think we need to add peacemaker as a DCU TV series. James Gunn confirmed season 2 is DCU Canon and Waller is basically Peacemaker season 1.5 Jstewart2007 (talk) 01:32, 29 April 2023 (UTC)

Supergirl’s casting

If Sasha Calle returns to play Supergirl in the DCU, she shouldn’t be put down as introduced in the DC Extended Universe because the version of the character introduced in The Flash is a alternate version from a alternate timeline. DCEU Cast members

The reason we have the "Introduced in the DC Extended Universe" headers is that, without it, we'd be labeling iterations of characters that originated in the DCEU as being introduced in a DCU property, when the opposite is true. I don't see the need in a list indicator note for these DCEU reprisals as it would be unneeded repetition of what is already covered by the intro header. Publishing to main space

It will likely be years until this draft is moved to mainspace, given the first media is scheduled to be released in 2024. This likely won't be notable by itself until 2025. We'd also have to hide all the "TBA" characters until an actor is confirmed for each role. —El Millo (talk) 19:56, 28 June 2023 (UTC)

I don't think we should necessarily be thinking about a potential timeframe for this, as we will update its contents over time as casting is revealed. I do not think a separate article is necessarily notable right away, and the table could be included in the main DCU article closer to the content being released and overlapping with recurring characters. Publish

With the first DCU project releasing in less than two weeks (Creature Commandos), and with Superman and Peacemaker S2 wrapping filming this year, along with Lanterns and Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow filming in January with casts already revealed, I think we should publish this article soon. I think it will still be a ways away before this list is filled out with even half of them being completely filled. Much of what is relevant is already covered at the respective project articles and the main franchise page, and I do not see a need for this list just yet in the distant future as it won't be too difficult to locate the actors in each project right away. I would estimate this list being necessary once several more of the projects have released and years have passed for this franchise to become remotely worthy of receiving spin-off pages like this one. My best estimate would be that this draft is not necessary or ready for the mainspace until a few years into DCU projects being released. Trailblazer101 (talk) 04:28, 24 November 2024 (UTC)

@Veko: Before you finish your review, I would like to state that I firmly object to this draft's publication at this time and will note that as one of the editors involved in this draft, that I do not think it is ready for inclusion in the mainspace because there is hardly any content for the DC Universe franchise to warrant splitting material into a separate list and such a move was not discussed with the involved editors, which is good form. The recurring cast is present at DC Universe (franchise)#Recurring cast and characters, so any publication of this draft would be a blatant WP:CONTENTFORK that requires discussion at the DCU talk page before any split is enacted. I have twice now rejected the mainspace redirect's speedy deletion nomination due to these concerns, which neither the nominator nor the two draft reviewers have addressed. I personally think that the main DC Universe page has become too large and siphoning this off into an article of its own would help manage its size. It is not terribly large and the draft is WP:TOOSOON because there is not that many different cast members to warrant a split. There have only been two TV shows and one film released thus far and not every character has recurred in all three of those works. That is by far not a large amount. Yes, the current main DCU article is in need of a cleanup, but those concerns are best addressed and deal with at that article, not by forcing a split not sought after by more active contributors to these articles.
