Yuki Angdembe (born c. 1999) is a Nepali professional mixed martial artist. He currently competes in the bantamweight division and trains full-time out of Bali, Indonesia at Soma Fight Club under coaches Mike Soma and Yousef Wehbe.[1][2]
Angdembe is known for his highly technical grappling and explosive finishing ability. At Matrix Fight Night 18 (MFN 18) on 2 May 2026, he secured one of the biggest victories of his professional career by defeating fan-favourite Indian grappler Mandeep "Baaghi" Prajapati via a first-round submission utilizing a rare Japanese necktie layout.[3]
Early life and background
editAngdembe was born in Nepal and belongs to the indigenous Yakthung (Limbu) community. He often represents his heritage by wearing traditional elements such as the Dhaka topi. He spent part of his youth in the United Kingdom, where he played cricket before transitioning to combat sports. He currently trains and resides in Bali, Indonesia, alongside fellow Nepali fighter Rabindra Dhant.[4]
Amateur career
editPrior to entering the professional ranks, Angdembe built an extensive career in the United Kingdom and Irish regional amateur circuits. Competing primarily out of Great Britain Top Team (GBTT), he climbed to No. 5 in the regional UK and Ireland featherweight classifications and captured the Cage Warriors Amateur Featherweight Championship belt.[5]
Professional career
editAngdembe made his professional debut in 2021, subsequently competing across notable global and regional fight organizations including BRAVE CF, Eternal MMA, and Matrix Fight Night (MFN).
On 28 October 2023, Angdembe debuted for MFN at Matrix Fight Night 13 in Noida, India, securing a first-round submission win over Iranian fighter Mohammad Mahmoudian via an arm-triangle choke.[3] On 2 May 2026, he returned to the promotion for MFN 18, submitting Mandeep Prajapati in the first round to establish himself as a premier bantamweight prospect in South Asia.[3]
