William Angus (born 1996), known professionally as Will Angus, is an American actor, comedian, writer, and content creator. He is a founding performer and writer at the digital comedy studio Almost Friday Media, where he has starred in the sketch comedy series Almost Friday TV (2022–present) and co-hosts the Almost Friday Podcast with Liam Cullagh. In 2026, Angus made his network television debut as a series regular in the Hulu comedy Not Suitable for Work, created by Mindy Kaling.

Angus began his entertainment career during the COVID-19 pandemic by posting comedy videos on TikTok while living in Texas, which led to him being recruited by Almost Friday Media and relocating to Los Angeles in 2021. He has appeared in several feature films, including Prom Dates (2024) and The Real Bros of Simi Valley: The Movie (2024), and has a role in the forthcoming Luca Guadagnino project Artificial.

Early life and education

edit

Angus was born in 1996 in Texas. He attended Cistercian Preparatory School in Irving, Texas, a private Catholic institution. He subsequently enrolled at Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a double major in Finance and Business Information Systems.

Despite his business qualifications, Angus harboured ambitions in comedy from a young age. He has described feeling like "a freak" for believing a career in entertainment was attainable, and cited the difficulty of communicating this aspiration to his family.[1]

Career

TikTok and early content creation (2020–2021)

edit

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Angus found himself at home in Texas with his recently completed finance degree. To occupy his time, he began posting comedy videos on TikTok, specialising in memes, point-of-view sketches, and visual comedy making use of special effects. His videos accumulated hundreds of thousands of followers across platforms and attracted the attention of the nascent digital comedy group Almost Friday Media.[1][2]

In 2021, Angus received an offer from Almost Friday Media founder Jack Barrett to relocate to Los Angeles and create comedy sketches for the group's social media output. Angus accepted, describing the conversation with his family about leaving a career in finance for TikTok content creation as more difficult than he anticipated.[1]

Almost Friday Media (2021–present)

edit

Almost Friday Media grew out of the Instagram meme account Friday Beers, founded by Jack Barrett and his brothers Max and Sam Barrett. The company, headquartered in Venice, Los Angeles, operates as a full-scale digital comedy studio producing short-form series, podcasts, newsletters, and longer-form projects, with a focus on relatable, irreverent comedy aimed at a young adult audience.[1]

Angus became a core performer and writer on the company's flagship YouTube series Almost Friday TV, which premiered in August 2022. The show features sketch comedy built around everyday social situations, friendships, and contemporary culture. As of 2026, Angus has appeared in approximately 59 episodes across eight seasons as both actor and writer, portraying a wide range of characters.[3] His fellow core cast members include Liam Cullagh, Billy Langdon, Chester Collins, and Eilise Patton.

Angus also co-hosts the Almost Friday Podcast alongside Liam Cullagh. The podcast, available on major streaming platforms, covers comedy, culture, and the group's projects.[4]

Almost Friday Media has been described by industry publications as a significant force in the emerging digital comedy landscape. Variety profiled the group in 2025, noting its ambitions to transition from digital content into traditional television and film production.[1] The company signed with Range Media Partners to assist in building out its film and television division, and separately partnered with BoulderLight Pictures on the television development project Last Night Was a Movie, on which Angus serves as a writer and producer.[5]
