WESCON, formerly an initialism for Western Electronics Show and Convention was a trade show and conference in the western United States for the electronics industry. It was held annually since 1951 and was a platform for companies to showcase their products and for attendees to learn about the latest developments in the field.[1]. On September 16th, the famous 8-bit CPU 6502 is presented[5].

editThe 24th annual Western Electronic Show and Convention was held from September 16 to 19, in Brooks Hall and Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, CA.[4].
On the September 16th, 8-bit CPUs 6501 and 6502 are presented[5].

editIn the year 1976 the Wescon celebrate its 25th (silver) anniversary[6]. About 35.000 visitors flock to the Los Angeles Convention Center from the September 14 to the 17. Over 400 companies were present.
