Violetta Shostak (born January 13, 1982, in Kuibyshev) is a linguist, educator, and researcher in the field of foreign languages. She is currently a postgraduate student at the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Lomonosov Moscow State University, where she is actively engaged in academic research.[1]
Education
editIn 2004, she graduated from the Faculty of Journalism at Krasnodar State University of Culture and Arts. She later continued her studies in linguistics and, in 2018, obtained a Master’s degree from the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Lomonosov Moscow State University[2]. She is currently pursuing postgraduate studies and conducting research in her field.
Professional Experience
editHer professional experience includes work in translation and teaching. In 2013, she participated in the production of a series of documentary films as a producer-translator for the Construction Department of the Krasnodar Region. These projects involved translating films into English about the development of sports infrastructure and preparing presentation materials for the Winter Olympics 2014 held in Sochi . She also completed the English translation of the documentary film «Путь» (English: “The Path”) commissioned by the Federal Road Agency (Rosavtodor). Since 2018, she has been actively teaching English and Spanish, applying her own teaching methods. In 2020, she led an international project focused on innovative approaches to foreign language learning. She is currently working on her PhD dissertation, which explores different aspects related to bilingualism.
