Vasil Ducár (Czech: Vasil Ducár) is a Czech professional boxer who has competed in the cruiserweight division.

He has held the Czech cruiserweight title and challenged for international and regional titles, such as the IBO cruiserweight title against Kevin Lerena in 2019 and IBF regional titles in fights against Jordan Thompshon and Cheavon Clarke.

Professional boxing career

edit

In June 2019, Ducar challenged Kevin Lerena for the IBO cruiserweight title. Before the bout, BoxingScene reported that Ducar was unbeaten at 7–0–1 and had previously won the vacant WBF Intercontinental cruiserweight title with a stoppage victory over Samuel Kadje.[1]

Ducar remained active in the Czech cruiserweight scene in 2022. In December of that year, he defeated Vladimír Řezníček on points in Prague. ČTK reported that the win was his third successful defence of the Czech cruiserweight title that year, following earlier victories over Marek Procházka and Václav Pejsar.[2]

In 2023, Ducar faced Cheavon Clarke in London for the IBF International cruiserweight title.[3] Sport.cz had described the fight beforehand as a major international opportunity for Ducar.[4]
