Vaibhav Londhe (born 20 May 1990) is an Indian Marathi singer, rapper, songwriter, music producer, composer, and filmmaker from Pune, Maharashtra. He is known for his contributions to Marathi independent music and gained widespread recognition for the hit song ''Khanderaya Zali Majhi Daina'' (2018), which became one of the most popular Marathi music releases of its time.
Early life
editVaibhav Londhe was born on 20 May 1990 in Pune, Maharashtra, India. He completed his schooling at Jai Hind High School, Pimpri[1], Pune. From an early age, he developed a keen interest in music, songwriting, and performance, which later led him to pursue a career as a singer, rapper, composer, and music producer.
Vaibhav Londhe was born into a humble Marathi family in Pune, Maharashtra.[2] He is the first and only member of his family to pursue a professional career in the entertainment industry. Despite having no family background in music, film, or media, he developed an interest in music and performance at a young age and went on to establish himself as an independent singer, rapper, songwriter, composer, music producer, and filmmaker.
Career
editVaibhav Londhe emerged in the Marathi independent music scene as a singer, rapper, and music producer. His early releases included songs such as ''Jhakaas Tu'', ''Bhijleli Tu'', ''Sang Dusra Kon'', and ''Beautiful'', which gained popularity among Marathi youth audiences.
In 2014, he released ''Jhakaas Tu'', a Marathi rap-based music video that helped establish his presence in the regional music industry. The song was telecast on Marathi music television and became one of his early breakthrough releases.[3][4]
Londhe achieved his breakthrough success in 2018 with the independent Marathi single ''Khanderaya Zali Maazi Daina[5]''. Written, composed, and performed by him, the song became a major digital hit and was praised for its blend of contemporary Marathi pop and dance music. Released under Everest Entertainment, the music video went on to surpass 100 million views on YouTube, making it one of the few Marathi independent songs to achieve the milestone and one of the most-viewed Marathi music videos on the platform. The song's success significantly contributed to the growth of Maharashtra's independent music scene, demonstrating that regional artists could achieve large-scale commercial success outside the traditional film industry. Its popularity inspired a new generation of Marathi independent musicians and content creators to invest in original music production and digital-first releases. As of 2025, ''Khanderaya Zali Maazi Daina[6]'' has crossed 128 million views on YouTube, remaining the most successful release of Londhe's career.
The song was written, composed, and performed by him and received significant popularity across digital platforms and social media. The music video featured actress Saiesha Pathak and was directed by Tejas Patil. The song became his signature hit and substantially expanded his audience.
During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Vaibhav Londhe released ''Go Corona'', a musical adaptation inspired by politician Ramdas Athawale's widely publicised "Go Corona" slogan. The song quickly gained viral attention across social media platforms and amassed significant online engagement within days of its release. Its popularity was further amplified when it was shared and discussed by several prominent public figures, including Shashi Tharoor, Shefali Vaidya, Pooja Bedi, and others on social media. The release became one of the notable viral Marathi-language internet phenomena associated with the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic and further increased Londhe's visibility beyond Maharashtra.
In 2020, Londhe expanded his work into Marathi cinema with the film ''Doctor Doctor''. He composed, co-wrote, and co-performed the song ''Mazach Pahije[7]'', contributing to both its creative development and musical production. The track showcased his versatility as a songwriter, composer, and vocalist, marking one of his notable contributions to the Marathi film industry beyond his independent music career.
Over the years, Londhe has continued releasing Marathi singles spanning pop, rap, dance, romantic, and devotional genres. His discography includes songs such as ''Premachya Khuna[8]'', ''Jeev Majha Jaeel[9]'', ''Mazach Pahije'', ''Khidki Madhe Ye Na Zara'', ''Awara Yala'', ''Saajani'', "Daina Zaliya[10]" and several independent releases.
