Jayden Dumont is a ongoing American criminal case in Florida's 17th Judicial Circuit, in which musician and rapper Jayden Dumont, professionally known as Jaydes, was accused of stabbing his own 17-year old ex-girlfriend on November 3, 2024, and was including on his song "Junkie", where he said "Killed my girlfriend and it felt so good" "I opened up her body and I ate her guts", when she denied sexual intercourse, which leads to an murder arrest for the trial, and also at Denny's in Oakland Park, Florida, where he had an mental episode, wielding a knife. He would be also charged with attempted murder. If convicted, he would be pled guilty to this offense. Around on November 14, his attorney filed with an plea not guilty until his arrest. editJaydes, whose real name is Jayden Dumont, is an American musician and rapper, originally born in Pompano Beach, Florida. He began his career in elementary school where he took piano lessons in class. Dumont started his music in 2019 when he use Audacity to record singles. He gained popularity after releasing his extended play (EP) !? on December 2021 under alias of Evvls. Dumont released his second EP Heartpacing and released Romanticism in 2022. On August 2023, Dumont released his debut studio album Ghetto Cupid, with promotional and introductory of the single "Rose", which gained popularity on social media platforms, such as TikTok. Dumont occasionally started music consistently in 2024, when he also played guitar. On July 19, 2024, he released his second studio album Count Up Dracula, which debuted his new punk sound. On October 31, 2024, Dumont his follow-up project EP, Panic, which he claimed, that he recorded his EP on an live-studio.
Arrests and charges
editFollowing an grand jury indictment of Dumont for the incident, Dumont was arrested on November 10, 2024, and charged with premeditated first-degree assault and primarily his participation of his attempted murder. On November 15, Dumont was announced and he was pled not guilty.
