Comment: This is an unreleased album and is too soon.Note to AFC Reviewers: This draft is for a title that was previously an article, but was then cut down to a redirect. Comment: Would call nothing here significant coverage of the subject. Rambley (talk) 13:00, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
Comment: No reason to assume that this will be independently notable even after it's been released – info should be added to Taylor Swift (album). bonadea contributions talk 08:59, 13 December 2024 (UTC)

Taylor Swift (Taylor's Version) or Debut (Taylor's Version) is an expected re-recorded album by the American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift.[1] It releases on [insert date] by Republic Records,[2] as part of Swift's re-recording project following the 2019 dispute over the master recordings of her back catalogue. The album is a re-recording of Swift's debut studio album, Taylor Swift (2006). On May 30, 2025, Swift announced at the AMAs 2025 that she was able to buy back her original master recordings from her time with Big Machine Records, noting that the re-recording of the album has been completed and will be released soon.[3]
Background
editTaylor Swift released her eponymous debut studio album, on October 24, 2006, under Big Machine Records,[4] as per her recording contract, which expired in November 2018. She hence withdrew from Big Machine and signed a new deal with Republic Records, which secured her the rights to own the masters of any new music she would release under Republic.[5] In 2019, American businessman Scooter Braun acquired Big Machine;[6] the ownership of the masters to Swift's first six studio albums, including Taylor Swift, transferred to him.[7] In August 2019, Swift denounced Braun's purchase and announced that she would re-record her first six studio albums so as to own their masters herself.[8] Swift began the re-recording process in November 2020.[9] Fearless (Taylor's Version), the first of her six re-recorded albums, was released on April 9, 2021, followed by Red (Taylor's Version) on November 12, 2021,[10][11], Speak Now (Taylor's Version) on July 7, 2023, and 1989 (Taylor's Version) on October 27, 2023; all four achieved critical and commercial success, debuting atop the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.[12][13]
