Taurasi is a 2025 American sports documentary television series directed by Katie Bender Wynn. The three-part series was produced by Skydance Sports, Meadowlark Media, and Institute Pictures, in association with Difficult Media. It follows the life and career of professional basketball player Diana Taurasi. The series premiered on Amazon Prime Video on August 7, 2025.[1][2]
Premise
editThe series documents Diana Taurasi’s basketball career, from her early life in Chino, California, through her collegiate career at the University of Connecticut and her professional career in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) with the Phoenix Mercury. It also covers her participation in international competitions, including the Olympic Games, and her professional experience playing overseas in Russia and Turkey. The series includes interviews with Taurasi, her family, and professional peers, and incorporates archival footage from different stages of her life and career. [3]

editThe series was announced in 2024. It was directed by Katie Bender Wynn and produced by Skydance Sports, Meadowlark Media, and Institute Pictures in association with Difficult Media. Executive producers include David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold, Jason Reed, and Jon Weinbach for Skydance Sports; John Skipper and Deirdre Fenton for Meadowlark Media; and Lauren Greenfield and Frank Evers for Institute Pictures, along with Kate Fagan and Katie Bender Wynn.[4] Filming took place in multiple locations, including the United States and Europe. The production combines interviews, observational footage, and archival material documenting Taurasi’s personal life and professional career.
