Background

Swift was influenced by bands such as Foo Fighters, Radiohead, Metallica, and Pantera. From their early success, they collected interest from major labels, for example, Atlantic, DreamWorks, and MCA, but the band declined and decided to form their own path. They released three full-lengths and one EP through Tribunal Records from 1995 to 2005, which were well-received by fans.

Soon after the release of "The Absolute Uncontrollable" in 2005, the members of Swift went temporarily inactive in 2005, as members started to focus on their careers and personal lives. Three-fifths of the band relocated to Brooklyn, NY. Fortunately, they all remained friends and intact. New music worked its way up and began to form during the decade-plus that followed. The strengths of the media led the band to decide to evolve these ideas into a new full-length to celebrate SWIFT's 20th anniversary. Announced digitally in December of 2017, "The Worst of All Things Possible" achieved an effortless and unique fusion of aggression and melody across a huge range of both modern and classic influences.[2]
