**Suhel Khan** is a British academic, author, and higher education practitioner. He has held teaching and programme leadership roles at several UK institutions, including Birmingham City University, the University of Law, Arden University, and the London School of Business and Finance. His published work focuses on human resource management during economic crises.

## Early life and education

Khan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and English from the University of Delhi (2001). He later completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management and obtained a Master of Business Administration (International Business) with Merit from the University of East London (2009).

He holds a Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) from Oxford Cambridge and RSA (2011) and a TAQA qualification in assessing vocational achievement (NCFE, 2015). He is pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education Academic Practices at King’s College London and working toward Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

## Career

Khan has over a decade of experience teaching operations management, strategic human resource management, marketing, organisational behaviour, strategic leadership, research methods, and related subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Since July 2019, he has served as a Visiting Lecturer and Module Lead at Birmingham City University, supervising more than 100 MBA students. He also teaches at the University of Law – Birmingham Campus (from May 2021) on modules including management accounting, strategic management, and research methods.

From January 2017 to June 2020, he was a Senior Lecturer and Module Leader at Arden University, delivering business and healthcare management programmes. Earlier, he served as Programme Manager for HNC/HND Hospitality and Business programmes at the London School of Business and Finance (April 2014 – February 2017), where he led academic teams, quality assurance, and student retention strategies.

He has also held roles at the Fashion Retail Academy (associated with University of the Arts London), UK College of Business and Computing, Regent College London, and as a freelance Principal Examiner for NCC Education (Level 3).

Earlier in his career, he worked as Assistant Manager at Greggs PLC and Deputy Manager at Unique Personnel UK, as well as in customer support for IBM DAKSH BPO Services.
