Comment: It's a bit difficult to say whether this is an article about the subject or the subject's products. But either way it reads like an advertisement, and the subject does not meet WP:BASIC on the sources presented. ChrysGalley (talk) 16:47, 25 February 2026 (UTC)
Dr. Shubh Gautam is an Indian industrial technologist and materials scientist. He is the Founder and Chief Technical Architect of the American Precoat Srisol Group, a multinational industrial materials science manufacturer company operating in India, South Africa, and San Francisco, USA.[1][2] His work specializes in innovations across materials science, surface engineering, and sustainable manufacturing.[3][4][5] He led the development of patented nanocomposite coating technologies for carbon-capturing colour‑coated steel sheets[6] and advanced industrial materials.[7]
Indian Patent No. 441784, titled 'Novel Nanocomposites and Processes for Making Them', has been received by American Srisol Group under Dr. Shubh Gautam’s leadership and guidance[8], which was filed in 2018 in San Francisco, USA[5] and officially registered by the Indian Patent Office in 2023.[9]
Career
editDr. Shubh Gautam is the Founder and Chief Technical Architect of American Precoat Srisol Group[6], founded in 1996 in Noida, India which manufactures pre-coated steel, coil coatings, and polymer-based industrial materials.[4]
He established India’s first and only fully integrated electro-galvanized (EG) steel manufacturing plant in Valsad, Gujarat. This facility enabled the domestic production of corrosion-resistant steel for institutions and corporations that were previously imported earlier and localized advanced manufacturing supply chains in India.[10][11][12]
In 2019, under the Government of India’s Make in India Initiative, his technological leadership enabled:
- Development of the world’s first 0.5 mm OLED/LED television backplate using electro-galvanized steel.[13]
- Development of electro-galvanized casings for automotive infotainment systems, approved and used by Maruti Suzuki India through Denso India.[13]
Dr. Shubh Gautam has contributed to India’s industrial standards and technology ecosystem, including participation in programs of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) related to innovation in coated steel sheets and advanced materials.[14]
He currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, California.
Patents and research
editNanocomposite carbon-capturing coating technology
editIn 2023, Indian Patent 441784, titled “Novel Nanocomposites and Processes for Making Them”, was granted to the American Precoat Srisol Group under Dr. Shubh Gautam’s leadership for a nano‑composite polyester‑based coating applied to colour‑coated steel sheets.[15] The patent was originally filed in 2018. The coating enables steel sheets used in roofing and cladding to absorb atmospheric carbon dioxide, temporarily retain it, and then release it when the surface is washed by rain or cleaning, allowing the process to repeat.[16]
